Christina - > Living My Childhood Dream -> Bad Housekeeper
Bad Housekeeper

We might have to get rid of our television for awhile. The commercials are putting my kids in this frame of mind where they realize that you are actually supposed to clean your house. Recently I've heard, "Mom, our ground is dirty, we need 'Bam! The dirt is gone'."  Today after seeing an ad for toilet bowl cleaner, Kaitlynn told me that we have monsters in our toilet and we need to clean them out.  Whenever they finish cleaning their rooms, they like to come see mine and lecture me on how MY room needs to be picked up.  They seem to enjoy pointing out when they don't have any clean socks or underwear.......And you'd burst into laughter if you've ever seen their reaction when they walk into a clean house after returning home from school.

What am I teaching these kids?!?!

Too funny!  Ethan takes mind to remind me that I need Head-On for my headaches, Soyjoy cereal bars to make me happier, and my absolute favorite, lots of diamonds to prove that Daddy loves me!

My son, in all seriousness, told my mom that he had bad news.  "Grandma, diets don't work.  But Weightwatchers does."

LOL! Send them to my house for a day, they'll think your house is spotless! As for throwing away the television? Nah, just switch over to PBS, they don't have those pesky cleaning commercials. Maybe if Mr. Clean was real,  we would have clean houses--that is to say, if we coud get a genie to help around the house! Poof! Mess-be-gone.

I agree -switch over to PBS.  You'll get sick of Pampers commercials, but at least they don't have any cleaning commercials.

Monsters in the toilet?  That could be dangerous!  Be careful :)

I got to add another one because ethan cracked me up today.  i was cleaning his hands when all of a sudden he says, "Because it's MY money and I need it now!  Are you receiving a structured settlement?  It's your money.  Call JG Wentworth now!"

oh my!   was laughing at how accurately he even mirrored the voice inflections.  my goodness!

Okay - these are getting good!

I was working in Andrew's classroom last Thursday and I kid you not EVERY single kid burst out into "F-R-E-E, that spells free, CreditReport.com BABY!" I'm so sick of hearing that song, he comes home singing it every day!

I was just sitting in front of my computer (obviously) and Layton walks in and asks "Are you signing up for Vonage?"

Last night, I was in walmart with Holly and we were getting her some shoes.  She spotted some Dora shoes and started excitedly and loudly proclaiming that she wanted the "D-d-d-d-d-dora shoes" over and over.  An older woman said, my daughter used to stutter, but don't worry, sometimes they grow out of it.  I had to explain that my daughter was incorporating the Dora theme song into her statement.

I did make her stop.  Several people were starting to stare.
