Thanks to all our friends who supported Relay for Life 2008 this year. Any of you who attended the event should feel very good about living in Bakersfield today. This is a community where over eleven thousand people came out and raised over $1.6 million dollars. Not bad for a modest town. I am really proud to have been part of Jerry's Chargers, and really grateful for my other good friends who participated. Walking the field with other young women my age who obviously are battling cancer was a reality check of just of how grateful I should be just to have my health.
