We4do4H - > The life of a mountain Mommy, staring Cole & Tyler -> Is it hot down there????????
Is it hot down there????????

Are y'all warming up down there? It's showing 84 up here, and that's warm for us. The house is closed up and ceiling fans are on in every room plus a small desk fan in the boys room to keep them cool. Time to start letting them take naps downstairs again, that 2nd story just gets too warm for their little bodies to handle.

Go ahead, I give permission for someone to say something smark-alecky about the weather.  I miss b-town for the convenience of shopping and doctor's, but not the summer heat!  But y'all can come join us for a weekend up here, there's the Hot Springs Resort where you can swim in the naturally heated pools, have lunch at the deli, or just drive around and enjoy the quietness and coolness.

Well, as of 1 p.m., it was 101, and it's supposed to get to 104.  Yep, it's summer!

Do I hear any "at least it's a dry heat"s out there?  Heh.  Just today, I double checked with my daughter's preschool about their contingency plan re: extreme heat (and bad air) and outdoor play, since yesterday she told us the jungle gym was too hot to touch!

I hate when people say the thing about it being a dry heat. Once you hit about 100, hot is HOT!  All those comments I've written recently in regards to being excited for summer to start.....I TAKE THEM ALL BACK!

I told hubby he has to put up the boys air conditioner in their bedroom this weekend.  And the heat isn't the only sign of summer being here - the wasps are out already. Cole stepped on one in the living room a few minutes ago, it didn't sting him that bad, he looks like he has 2 mosquito bites on his foot but he's okay, of course he's milking the whole thing - laying on the couch with his foot up and an ice pack on it watching Tom & Jerry.
