What you read here should stay here!
Blogs written on this site should be left on this site. It is disrespectful for someone to copy and paste anything they read to another site or email. 3 comments from 3 users

I agree, but unfortunately it comes with the territory. Once something is posted here, it becomes visible to pretty much the whole world. Even if people don't copy and paste it, they can direct others to it. And even within the membership of this very site, there might be people that, if you had a choice, you wouldn't want reading what you write. I've learned the lesson the hard way (multiple times, unfortunately). If there is something you don't want even one other person to read or see, you can put it here or in any other viewable-by-the-public place. One of the dangers I have learned of the internet is that because when we are on it, we are doing so in our pajamas in our kitchen, office, bedroom, wherever... and we have a false sense of privacy and and not enough feeling of vulnerability. I obviously don't know what was copied or what played out in your case, which may put me completely out of line. But I do know that I have learned a lesson that sounds similar to what you may have experienced. posted by

I've probably learned that lesson over and over, but forget it periodically until something like this happens and it makes one feel dumb, irritated, violated, and down right ticked off, and even embarrassed. Now, the funny thing is my f-i-l said something to me about a website with my name on it yesterday, in regards to my notary stuff, and I just sort of blew it off b/c I didn't remember making any websites for my notary. Then this morning I googled my name and came up with tons of stuff - talk about feeling violated. But I did find the website he was talking about and yes I had forgot about it b/c it's a site inside a site type thing. I guess basically if there is something you want to say about a family member, company, etc., write it down at home and then burn the paper so no one can respond to it! posted by

If you are worried about blogs being taken think about your pic's of you and your kids being stolen! Anyone can copy the pics you put on line claim it as there own, or put it up on another web site claiming to be u. then they can take the pics of your kids and say that's their kids, or some pervert out there can like your kids copy the pic and look at it anytime they want on their computer. That is why I am very cautious about what pics I put up on line, I wont put pics with our faces showing, just back shots or far away shots wear you can't make out our faces. This happened to my best friend. She has a myspace profile, and has a bunch of pics of her 2 kids and herself/hubby. She is a very beautiful girl, and she found her pics on tagged, another web site like myspace. With a man claiming that her kids and her pics were his girlfriend and his kids. SCARY THOUGHT!!! that gives you something to think about.
