Stress, stress, stress.  Our social worker is coming today to update our home study.  Thanks to the slow adoption process in China, this is an ongoing process.  We've done it before, and we were recommended for adoption as capable parents.  So why am I so stressed that we have to go through it again?  It's the same social worker, the same house, and the same us!  We haven't started a meth lab in the garage since she was here last.  We haven't removed all the outlets in the house, leaving exposed wires.  We haven't lined our back lawn with glass shards.  We don't keep poison next to the kool-aid.  We're the same good parents as before.

But just the fact that this social worker has the power to say "no," and take away our future baby girl REALLY is nerveracking.

She'll be here today at 12:30 to reinterview us for a job we've already been given.  So I really can't wait for 2:30!  Of course, if you are reading this, Penelope, you are the most awesome social worker in the world and we love having you visit, and we can't wait to see you!  :-)
