What vacation are you going to relive with your kids?
In honor of counting down to summer vacation, what vacation memory from your childhood are you looking forward to reliving with your children AND do you think they will enjoy it like you did? I always love the multi-family road/camping trips. We drove one summer with three other families, all pulling camp trailers, from L.A. to Yellowstone Park. It was a blast. Not only being with family, but having friends my age on the trip was awesome. I'm sure it was more hassle for my parents than we could ever understand, planning a trip for eight adults and nine children between kindergarten and 6th grade, but I hope they know it was worth it for the memories it created. We camped in 8 different places on the round trip and each one was an adventure. I can't wait to do that with my kids! I've watched my kids play and use their imaginations to create adventures out of nothing. I'm positive they would enjoy putting that creativity to use in new places and while seeing new things. 2 comments from 2 users

I can't remember my family and I ever having a specific yearly summer trip, though I know we usually did go somewhere. As for the winter, we always visited the ski slops. And still do! But hopefully this year, I can get away and go somewhere. I'm not sure yet where to or when, but crossing my fingers and hoping. posted by

We always went to Vegas! LOL yah, real familiy friendly huh? But honestly, it was tons of fun. We'd go to the Circus Circus amusement park, hang out by the pool alllll day long and once we were much, much older, mom and dad would get us pizza and a movie in the hotel room why they went out. That is YEARS down the road for us, but anyway.. I think I'm more excited about making new vacations and memories for us rather than re-living my old ones.
