kevinmorrison - > Slowing Down the Blur -> It's official!
It's official!

It's official.  I'm a Renegade.  Enrolled in my first class at BC, an online U.S. History class.  I sat down with a counselor today and mapped out the plan, with transfer options to Cal State.  I want to get a History degree to augment my writing range.  I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm sticking to one class for my first term.  It's been a while and I'm in a much different life stage this time around.  Have to make sure I can put the time in before I take multiple classes at once.

But I'm divin' in!

Good for you!  Enjoy your classes, one at a time!  You will learn so much more!

If you're looking at transferring to CSUB eventually I'd contact a counselor there as well and have that person review your map. Sometimes courses that BC counselor's say will transfer end up not counting. Might at well rush into the breech with the best knowledge possible. Congratulations by the way! I love it when anyone goes back to school. I'm always trying to get my friends to take a course or two if just to expand themselves. None of my close friends went to college, but I've made some great new friends in my years there. Taking school with little ones around isn't the easiest thing in life, but what a great example you will set for them. Stay strong my man.

I will send you a cushy pillow to sleep on while you are studying on line - worked great for me!!! Fits right up against the key board and absorbs the drool that seems to happen when you really need that 30 minute power nap in the afternoon!  Good for you, you'll appreciate all the hard work in the end.  I wish my hubby would go back to school and get a career degree, he has one in liberal arts (I think), but it isn't doing him any good in the rental industry.
