The Disney Music Block Party Cancellation
So, Disney puts together a tour, festival style, with Dan Zanes, They Might Be Giants, Ralph's World, Imagination Movers, and Choo-Choo Soul. Tickets average about $36 each. Lots of crazy Disney activity tents and such. Ticket sales are soft and they cancel the tour after a few shows. My question.... would you take your kids to see a show of this level and price point? Would you take your kids to see, say Dan Zanes, in Bakersfield and how much would you be willing to spend on tickets? 4 comments from 4 users

I would take them to see some of those acts! I was so hoping the tour would come here, but I guess that won't happen now. :-/ IDK what price I would be willing to spend--it really depends on what act it is. $36 does seem a bit steep, but considering all of the neat stuff at that show I probably would have gone for it. posted by

I find myself supporting 99.9% of the Disney activities. Yes I would take my children to this show. The price seems kind of high if its the same price for small children ( under 2) as for adults. posted by

I'd rather spend the money on tickets to Disneyland :) Not sure how much I'd spend on Dan Zanes because I have no clue what tickets prices go for at kids' concerts. posted by

When the Wiggles came to RaboBank, we went, and it was crazy how many kids and parents were there! (and how much we all paid for tickets too!) I would have taken my younger one just because the older son is "not into that baby stuff anymore" as he says. But, me and the youngest would definitely have gone! And if you get all the fun activities included - it would have been worth the $36.....but, not for kids under 3! Bummer they cancelled the tour!
