Take for example, Brazilian Jiu Jitzu. Enough Said.

My husband is in Brazil this week with Compassion International in a partnership with the radio station he works for. While he's gone, I thought I should do something unique-- that i wouldn't normally do. Like no tv for a week ... or dare i say, no internet? Or eat completely healthy or work out every day. That said & considering I already miss him greatly & I still have to remain sane enough to care for Zoe, I am not feeling motivated. But, that's where I can get your help! Do you have any challenges for me? Any eat-fiber-daily or write-poetry challege? Come on now, I'm depending on you!!

Sounds like you came up with some good challenges on your own!

Oh, and Brasilian coffee is more powerful - tried it last summer when we were in Brasil, and  I had to dilute it!  Mud, anyone?  (i'm probably a coffee wimp)

haha, i've heard that Brazilian coffee is some of the best-- but i'm sure it depends on the opinion of whoever wrote matt's trip guide!

I did come up with some good ones, but none i was motivated to actually do. Ha. I've been getting outside and getting active and started reading a really good parenting book 'making children mind without losing yours."

I am finding that doing something different with my life would take some time to myself. :) Somehow things are still just the same as long as Zoe is with me. :)

Pelly, do you want to come by The Californian at 3 p.m. Friday for a "luau" celebrating the launch of Kern Life 2008? I'm bringing fruit, cupcakes and leis for people to wear around. (Just the leis - I hope people don't wear the fruit or cupcakes!) It would be great to see you and say thank you AGAIN for all of your hard work! — Jen

(ps ... this invite is for Pelly only - she put a lot of time into Kern Life!)
