Today a mommy came in looking for some palatable food that her 18 month old Retriever would eat. Due to him having valley fever, he's lost weight, is on antibiotics and has no desire to eat.

Today's post is to let everyone know the symptoms of Valley Fever in Dogs and Cats:
  • coughing
  • fever
  • weight loss
  • lack of appetite
  • lack of energy
 More severe cases:
  • lameness or swelling of limbs
  • back or neck pain
  • seizures
  • swollen lymph nodes under the chin, in front of the shoulder blades, or behind the stifles
  • non-healing skin ulcerations or draining tracts that ooze fluid
  • eye inflammation with pain or cloudiness
