Gotta love the healthy requests!

My little girl came over to me this morning and said "Eat.... nana". She was hungry, and she wanted a banana! She did it so cutely too--pointing to her mouth with both hands. It made me giggle.

My son often wants grapes, apples, or watermelon, too. :) It makes me feel good when they want stuff like that. I need to start keeping more fruit around the house again. We used to keep a lot of different kinds when the boy was younger, but he has developed favorites and I've stopped buying some of the other stuff. But I should get some to offer to the girl--she might like some more variety.

My daughter is a fruit-eating monster.  My son won't touch it.  He's almost as picky as my wife when it comes to food...   is it genetic?  My daughter and I will eat anything within arm's reach!

aw, i remember those days.  that was before commercials during cartoon breaks. thanks to those, my son thinks the only appropriate breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack is a nice bowl of sugary cereal.

LOL! Although my son does like his fruit (he had strawberries for breakfast this morning), one of his frequent requests for a snack lately is Chex Mix! My hubby was on a Chex Mix kick, and let the boy have some. Now, if he's in the mood for a salty carb snack, he usually wants Chex Mix.

Yeah, we're big on fruit, too.  We really need  more veggies - not that we don't eat them at all, but we don't snack on them like fruit.  But come on, raw broccoli doesn't compare to a juicy strawberry or perfect banana!
