At Bedtime Tonight...

"Mommy, sing me a song."

"OK!" I sing him "Jesus Loves Me."

"That's a good song," he says. "I sing it all of the time."

I grin. "That is a good song, isn't it."

"Yeah, because Jesus loves me."

Sometimes my kids make my heart feel so big, I don't know how it fits in my chest.

It is amazing to watch and listen to children when they have those ah-ha moments.  The moments when children will make a statement of understanding something you have been trying to teach them.  It is sometimes hard to contain the excitement or the tears when those ah-ha moments arrive!!

My daughter's current favorite song is "Our God is an Awesome God..."

She only has one volume setting.  Normally if she starts singing (yelling loudly) in public places, I tell her to stop or try to sing quietly, which she can't do.

But how do I tell her to stop singing that one??  Can't do it.  So I just let people stare...  and listen.  :-)
