He didn't think much of it, but David fell asleep pretty soon afterward, and that made him nervous, so he called poison control. They assured him that food coloring should not have put David to sleep. He was still young, so Brent thought he might have just been tired a needed a nap. (These days, if he took a nap, we would know something was terribly wrong!) However, a little while after David was asleep, while Brent was cleaning up the mess, he found the vanilla.
