I don't know about y'all but I am counting the days until school's out. After 2 years of home schooling, public school has kicked my butt! It's been a great experience over all, but the getting up and out the door every morning with two kids for the past 9 months? Forget it! Not to mention the homework. My 8 year old is capable of doing most of her work without too much input from me, but I still have to make sure it gets done and correct it when it is. And let me tell you, some afternoons it's like pulling teeth to get her to sit down and finish her work. She comes home tired and hungry. I've tried letting her take a break, but then it sometimes seems harder to get back into work mode. I've tried forcing her to do it first thing when she gets home, but that generally ends in an all out revolt. So I try to split the difference.
