I remember celebrating May Day in Preschool at First Pres. (downtown Bakersfield) It was a great time of dressing up, sort of like an Easter celebration with a maypole dance (I think they had paper streamers that we wrapped around a tall pole). Lots of fun, but I can't say we have continued the tradition....May 1st, I believe is May day...right? Any day is a good day for fun! Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
