About Dana
Greetings! My name is Dana Martin. I am a wife, a mother of three teenagers (14, 16, 19), and a native of the great city of Bakersfield. Some of you might recognize me as the editor of The Northwest Voice magazine, as I try to get out and meet as many of our neighbors as I can. The Northwest Voice publication concentrates on a specific region of Bako, but many people have asked me what to do if they DON'T live in Northwest Bakersfield. Now I can tell them about RaisingBakersfield.com! I always like to give a special "shout out" to members of our armed services, near and far, who may find this web site and wonder if their hometown is thinking of them. The answer is always "yes."
