About LisaW
My parents moved our family to Bakersfield just before I started the fourth grade. Like everyone else I thought that as soon as I graduated high school I'd be out of here. Well, what can I say? The gravity is particularly strong in Bakersfield. I went to CSUB and got my BA in Communications. Then I started my short lived career as a journalist. I started out first at one of our local TV stations then moved on to print which was more in line with my passion for writing. Two years into this chosen career path I had what you might call a mini quarter-life crises and decided that I wanted to try something completely different: the law. Well about the same time I found out I was pregnant and that turned everything in yet another new direction. I'm currently at home full time awaiting the birth of my first (and probably only after what I've experienced) child.
