About Jennifer Who would have thought I would be creating a profile on Raising Bakersfield? When I heard our company was launching this site, I thought "That's nice." But since I had no children and was newly single, I certainly didn't think I'd be a participant. At least, not so soon. Well, here I am, 12 weeks along and I just heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time at a doctor appointment this very morning. Might as well spill the beans! I'm going to be a mom. Surprise :) I must take this moment to thank the new love in my life for being a part of this blessing. James, I am so glad to be on this adventure with you! The cloth diapers are working out really great! I used the newborn disposables for the first week or so because meconium stains cloth diapers. Then I continued to use them at first for outings and such, but every single time we did that we wound up with a yucky blowout mess. I've had a few minor leaks with the BumGenius diapers, but nothing like I was having with disposables. So I really like them. It isn't that big of a deal as far as laundry either, at least for me.
